Optical Sales / Inside Sales Engineer

who will report to the VP of Sales and Marketing in our Carlsbad, CA headquarters.Your Responsibilities:Assess customer requirements and recommend solutions.Identify and grow new business across various markets.Manage and grow assigned Key Accounts in a focus market.Participate in trade shows and generate new sales leads.Plan and conduct online and on-site customer meetings.Provide quotations, close sales, and provide product support.Represent customer needs with our manufacturing in China.What you should bring to be a successful candidate:BS or MS degree in Optics, EE, ME, or Physics.2-5 years of experience in a technical customer-facing role.Background in optics and/or digital imaging systems is a plus.Sales, Project Mgmt., and intl.travel experience is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Be ready to take on new challenges and grow with Sunex.A team player in an intrapreneurial environmentWhat we want you to know:Up to 25% travel, domestic and international (Asia and EU)No cold calling is requiredEmployees must meet company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis by performing all work-related tasks in a manner in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.We provide a competitive compensation package, including a health and retirement program and a year-end performance-based bonus.
