As a Certified Behavior Analyst (CBA) , your role will be crucial in enhancing the educational experiences of students in Grades K-12 . You will deliver tailored behavioral interventions and clinical support, lead training initiatives for your team, and ensure the highest standards of educational and behavioral practices are upheld.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive training and ongoing support for teachers and staff in conducting effective Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of instructional and behavioral services for students to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Enhance instructional strategies and best practices to support student growth in line with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Evaluate the professional development needs of educational staff and create impactful training programs addressing skill gaps.
- Actively participate in staff development by attending educational conferences and training sessions to further your professional expertise.
- Coach and certify school staff in effective crisis prevention and management techniques to foster a safe learning environment.
- Assist in recruitment and orientation of new staff, ensuring they are well-prepared and supported.
- Research and recommend evidence-based teaching methodologies and instructional resources.
- Design and implement systems to meet the unique academic and behavioral needs of students at both individual and classroom levels.
- Engage in required meetings to collaborate with staff and develop strategic plans for improvement.
- Conduct regular quality assurance reviews at multiple levels to provide feedback aimed at continuous enhancement.
- Ensure adherence to Department of Education guidelines, alongside Spectrum's standards and best practices.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required to support the organization and enhance student success.
Required Qualifications :
Master's degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral health, special education, or a related field.Current licensure or in the process of obtaining BCBA certification.Preferred : CA state special education instruction credential (or in the process of obtaining).Ability to achieve and maintain certification in approved crisis management training.Experience in providing behavioral support, especially within special education or behavioral health settings.In-depth knowledge of ABA techniques, including positive behavior support, FBA, and BIP development.Experience with children facing learning disabilities, emotional-behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and related challenges.Familiarity with special education services and compliance measures.Proven record of successful intervention strategies for diverse student populations.Ability to engage students positively towards achieving their goals.Experience in crisis management principles and practices.Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.Proficient with technology, including MS Office Suite and other relevant tools.Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is part of ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education , recognized as the leading provider of alternative and special education programs for youth throughout the nation.
