The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible for ensuring the company's Medicare programs comply with all CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) regulations, internal quality standards, and contractual requirements.

This role focuses on monitoring, auditing, and improving operational processes to ensure excellence in service delivery, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

• Conduct regular audits and reviews of Medicare-related operational processes, member communications, and provide documentation to ensure compliance with CMS guidelines
• Monitor and report quality performance metrics across departments involved in Medicare service delivery.
• Collaborate with operational teams to address identified issues and develop corrective action plans.
• Participate in mock audits, risk assessments, and readiness activities in preparation for CMS audits (e.g., program audits, data validation audits).
• Analyze trends in audit findings to identify systemic issues / user error
• Educate staff on Medicare quality standards, CMS updates, and internal QA procedures
• Assist in maintaining documentation and evidence required for compliance and quality initiatives .

Job Requirements : Experience :

3+ years of experience in healthcare quality assurance or compliance, preferably in a Medicare Advantage or related setting

Strong working knowledge of CMS regulations, Medicare Advantage policies, and the healthcare regulatory landscape.

Experience with auditing practices, quality improvement methodologies, and CMS audit preparation is highly desirable.

Language Skills : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills : Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Skills : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills : typing 40+ words per minute.

Problem-Solving Skills : Effective problem solving, organizational and time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Report Analysis Skills : Comprehend and analyze statistical reports.

Pay Range : $44,790.00 - $67,185.00

Pay range may be based on a number of factors including market location, education, responsibilities, experience, etc.
