Qualified candidates will be able to : / pulliWork closely with senior electricians to develop or improve current knowledge of various shipboard electrical tasks. / liliLearn how to read electrical drawings / diagrams. / liliDevelop key skills to execute clean and efficient wiring in cabinets. / liliLearn to properly route cables throughout cableways. / liliUse calibrated tools such as Multi-Meters and Meggers. / li / ulpOther duties and responsibilities : / pulliTransport materials, tools, and equipment to and within work sites as required. / liliInventory received material. / liliHelp maintain a clean worksite. / liliAssist senior technicians with drilling, cutting, and modifying various shipboard items. / liliBe able to frequently lift up to 50 pounds. / li / ulpPosition requirements : / pulliUS Citizenship. / liliMust meet requirements to obtain a Federal Secret Clearance. / liliHigh School Diploma or equivalent. / liliMinimum of one (1) year of marine / maritime related experience. / liliAbility to perform general maintenance tasks. / liliAbility to follow written and verbal instructions. / liliKnowledge of relevant tools and equipment. / liliAbility to work aboard ships which includes frequent climbing, bending, and working in confined spaces. / liliMust have a valid U.S. Drivers License. / liliMust pass drug screening as a condition of employment. / li / ulpThis position is located in Chesapeake, VA. / p / div
