Senior Investment Analyst
The Senior Investment Analyst is a key contributor to the creation, oversight, and maintenance of the centralized investment platform for wealth management advisors. This role is suited for professionals with 2-5 years of experience who excel in complex investment scenarios and operate with a high degree of independence. Senior Analysts lead advanced research, analytics, operational workflows, mentor junior staff, and drive process improvements across the team. Collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional partnership is essential to deliver sophisticated investment solutions and maintain best-in-class standards. This role sits at the intersection of investment research, platform strategy, advisor support, and analytics, with exposure to both public and private markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Investment Platform Oversight: Responsible for assisting with the implementation and monitoring of investment strategies across the platform, ensuring alignment with model guidelines
- Advanced Research & Due Diligence: Proactively monitor and re-underwrite existing platform strategies and participate in performance reviews and due diligence for strategies including:
- ETF and SMA portfolios (equities and fixed income)
- Private credit, private equity, private real estate, hedge funds
- Structured products and options-based overlays
- M&A Support: Support the integration of acquired RIAs by migrating assets to a centralized investment platform and presenting solutions on a firm-wide and client-by-client basis
- Analytics and Reporting: Build and maintain dashboards and reports to evaluate strategy performance, risk exposures, and portfolio analytics using FactSet, Morningstar, Excel, and Python. Conduct performance attribution, benchmark comparisons, dispersion analysis, and peer analysis
- Trading and Implementation: Develop programmatic processes to drive scale across trading and operational workflows, maintain database quality and enhance depth and speed across strategy diligence. Collaborate cross-functionally with trading, operations, compliance, and technology teams
- Advisor and Field Support: Respond to complex information requests, provide expert product/portfolio insights, and support proposal development for high-value cases
- Performance Measurement: Manage the firm's GIPS certification and composite creation, creating detailed attribution reports to derive insights from portfolio performance and communicate to field
- Relationship Management: Manage relationships with third-party investment managers and support ongoing diligence efforts for both traditional and alternative investment offerings
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements:
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail and project management abilities
- Advanced proficiency with investment software (M*Direct, FactSet, etc.)
- Deep understanding of multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, real estate, alternatives)
- Proven ability to work independently and manage complex assignments
Education, Training and Experience:
- The candidate must have between 2-5 years of experience in Asset Management or Wealth Management
- Strong investment and markets background
- CFA designation or candidacy is highly desirable
- Knowledge of programmatic analysis tools a plus (Python, R, MATLAB)
