As a Senior Gameplay Engineer II you will collaborate with designers and other engineers to create the systems fundamental to the simulation and presentation of our game world and its inhabitants leveraging the Unreal Engine. You will support the development of code frameworks functional components and workflows and tools as well as improving the underlying engine technology and infrastructure. You will work collaboratively with the team to define and execute a technical vision that meets the projects needs.

This role is anticipated to be a full-time hybrid work position with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The home studio for this role is Irvine CA.

Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours so this role includes but is not limited to the following responsibilities :

• Develop technical solutions to deliver best-in-class player experiences with a particular focus on player abilities animations traversal mechanics and camera functionality.
• Collaborate with designers artists and other engineers to deliver a AAA game and ensure we delight and entertain our players.
• Achieve and maintain high technical standards to ensure best-in-class performance stability and productivity.
• Support team productivity by developing asset-creation pipelines tools and workflow improvements.

These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately your specific range and offer will be based on several factors including relevant experience performance and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this roles range details for your local geography during the hiring addition to a competitive base pay employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation.
