We are seeking a full-time Counselor to join our team! The Women’s Recovery Program provides a voluntary women’s residential program for the treatment of a substance use disorder and co-occurring enhanced disorder(s) that runs three to six months.
This role is responsible for providing individual and group counseling, developing and implementing treatment plans, and coordinating educational programs for residents. The ideal candidate will support clients in accessing necessary services, including substance use and mental health resources, and ensure continuity of care through aftercare planning.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide counseling services (individual, group, educational, clinical, and case management) to program residents.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment goals and educational programs (including assessments and SNAP treatment planning).
- Coordinate medical and behavioral health services, including MAT and psychiatric care.
- Assist clients in obtaining community resources and services through information, referrals, and follow-up.
- Oversee daily operations of the Women’s Recovery Home and ensure residents’ well-being.
- Advocate for residents’ rights and benefits.
- Facilitate admissions according to program intake processes.
- Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and professional development seminars.
- Promote Catholic Charities programs within the community.
- Provide transportation for clients as needed.
- Support residents with aftercare planning post-discharge.
Licenses & Certifications
Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor II (LADC II).Valid Driver’s License.Education / Experience Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.Minimum 3–5 years working with substance use and co-occurring disorders (ASAM 3.1 level of care).Knowledge of addiction counseling, case management, and the 12-core functions of a Substance Abuse Counselor.Experience in substance use or mental health disorder counseling.Skills & Abilities
English proficiency (verbal and written communication) as it relates to the job; English-Spanish bilingual preferred.Ability to write clear, legible reports.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Professional demeanor with diverse populations.Individuals in personal recovery must have a solid foundation in place.Physical / Mental Requirements
Normal range of vision and hearing (with or without correction).Ability to climb stairs to access all Catholic Charities Worcester County locations.Why Join Us?
