The Zippertubing Company is looking for a motivated self-starter for the role of Inventory Control Specialist to join our growing team! The Inventory Control Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, availability, and efficiency of materials for our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for monitoring inventory levels, conducting audits, reconciling discrepancies, and supporting production and shipping operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Specific Responsibilities

  • Responsible for inventory accuracy
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain and Production teams to keep accuracy inventory
  • Perform daily / weekly cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies in ERP / WMS systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, etc.)
  • Support production by ensuring materials are available and issued correctly
  • Work as a member of the Supply Chain team to align on material flow and back-up as needed
  • Prepare and analyze inventory reports, highlighting shortages, excess, and slow-moving stock
  • Collaborate with management to perform physical inventory counts and internal / external audits
  • Recommend process improvements to optimize inventory control and warehouse efficiency
  • Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards at all times
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and / or other warehouse equipment as needed

Qualifications / Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in inventory control, materials management, or warehouse operations (manufacturing preferred)
  • Strong ERP / WMS experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, or similar)
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally
  • Forklift certification (preferred)
  • APICS CPIM, Lean, or Six Sigma experience a plus
  • Benefits : (Eligibility after 30 days of employment for most benefits)

    The Inventory Control Specialist must demonstrate cognitive ability to, follow directions and routines, work independently with appropriate judgment, exhibit spatial awareness, read words and numbers, concentrate, memorize, and recall, identify logical connections and determine sequence of response and process up to 2-3 steps ahead. Ability to attend work on a regular, predictable and consistent basis and to commute to and from work safely and arrive at work on time.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee operates in an open multi-occupied office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. At times, the employee may be exposed to airborne particulates, moving mechanical parts and vibrations on the production floor. The noise level can be loud at times. Physical Demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. This position involves a variety of repetitive processes such as insertion of materials, alignment by hand and rotating fixtures by hand. The position also involves sitting, talking and hearing throughout the day. The employee must also be able to safely lift up to 49 pounds or less repeatedly during the 8-10hour shift.
