Futrend is seeking a React Front-End Developer to support the modernization of a legacy Java-based enterprise application. The existing application was built using JSP / TagLib Spring MVC Hibernate and SQL Server on Java 7 and is being migrated to a modern architecture using JDK 21.

In this role you will focus on replacing JSP / TagLib-based user interfaces with modern responsive React applications. You will work as part of a cross-functional engineering team that includes a Lead Software Engineer / Tech Lead other Java Developers Business Analyst and QA Tester.

This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level front-end developer to contribute to a large-scale modernization effort in a collaborative team environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Participate in the design and the translation existing UI functionality and business requirements into modern responsive React components that maintain function parity with the legacy system.
• Develop and maintain React-based user interfaces to replace legacy JSP / TagLib pages
• Work closely with backend engineers to integrate React applications with RESTful APIs
• Participate in code reviews sprint planning and technical discussions
• Ensure UI implementations meet usability performance and accessibility standards
• Collaborate with QA and business stakeholders to support testing and defect resolution
