Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist Assistant supports Respiratory Therapists with patient care activities, including equipment setup, home and oxygen assessments, patient education, and infection control practices. This role involves delivering and retrieving medical equipment, maintaining and disinfecting equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and Joint Commission standards. Additional responsibilities include proper documentation, addressing service issues, and participating in ongoing training and performance improvement activities.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or GED required

Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 100 lbs

1–3 months of relevant experience preferred

Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and customer service

Proficient in using word processing and spreadsheet software
