Basic knowledge of data visualization tools, e.g. PowerBI, MS Excel Basic knowledge of utilizing AI productivity tools Basic knowledge of electrical circuits Aptitude for problem solving, critical thinking, and analytics Should be eager to try new ideas

Research & Development Intern
Intern Will Report To : Supervisor Engineering Research and Testing - NPD
Location : Pueblo, CO (Hybrid)
Overview :
Support the team with modeling, drawing and analyzing railcar components. In addition, support the analysis of large data sets using available analytical tools.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Create drawings and models in CAD system.
- Setup and run Finite Element models and simulations.
- Testing to validate the FEA and design of the product.
- 3D scanning and 3D printing of existing products and prototypes.
- Using analytical tools like pivot tables and Power BI to process large data sets.
- Present findings to group based on the data analysis.
- Report preparation and presentation of project status.
- Support track testing activities - railcar inspection, instrumentation, calibration, test execution
