Physician Job Details

Location : San Francisco, CA (94117) – Prime location near Golden Gate Park and top amenities

Employment Type : Locum Tenens Physician (Travel Contract)

Start Date : January 5, 2026

End Date : July 6, 2026

Contract Duration : 26 weeks

Physician Shift : Day shifts, Saturday and Sunday, 6 hours on-site (08 : 00 - 14 : 00) each day, plus night call for admissions

Coverage : Every weekend, covering two healthcare facilities (3 miles apart)

Patient Census : 12-13 patients per day

Estimated Weekly Salary : $6300-$6750

PM&R Physician Qualifications

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)

Active California medical license required

California DEA with Schedule 2 / 2n required

AHA BLS certification

Minimum 2 years of inpatient PM&R experience

COVID-19 vaccine and booster required (medical / religious exemptions considered)

Credentialing timeframe : 45-60 days

Physician Responsibilities

Provide weekend inpatient coverage for acute care rehabilitation units

Manage patient admissions, discharges, and daily rounding

Collaborate with internal medicine, neurology, orthopedics, and pain management consult services

Perform general PM&R procedures (preferred : EMG / NCS, joint injections, spasticity management with Botox or intrathecal baclofen pumps)

Respond to night call for admissions as needed

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
