Lead Quality Assurance Specialist

The Lead Quality Assurance Specialist will be managing, ensuring and improving capabilities to comply with external standards and regulations. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Roles and Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance to regulations required at point of production.

Perform audits to ensure compliance with GE Aerospace policies and procedures.

Evaluate adherence to AS9100 / AS9110 / AS9120 standards and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, CAAC, UK CAA).

Identify areas for improvement and provide actionable recommendations.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality systems and processes.

Prepare detailed audit reports and maintain accurate records of findings and corrective actions.

Ensure timely communication of audit results to relevant stakeholders.

Provide guidance and training to team members on quality standards and auditing practices.

Support the development of robust quality processes across the organization.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university and a minimum of 3 years of Quality / Manufacturing experience OR a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Quality / Manufacturing experience. For current GE Aerospace employees, a QEP Level 2 certification is required. Must be able to travel up to 50%.

Desired Experience & Characteristics

Strong knowledge of AS9100 / AS9110 / AS9120 standards and regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, CAAC, UK CAA).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $81,900.00 - 109,200.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus / variable incentive plan.
