• RN's - Pass / Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated
• Department : Med Surg / OrthoCertifications Required : BLS
• will not approve blocked scheduling unless it's weekends only, I can ask. They also will not take duos that want same schedule or share car.- of Beds : 22- average daily census of 6- Ratios : 1 : 5-6- Common diagnoses / Types of patients : Total knee replacements, total hip replacements, ankle replacements, total shoulders, spines- back and neck- Are RNs required to titrate drips? : No- Common titratable & / or set rate drips : Pain medications, antibiotics, blood- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? : Yes- Are there nurse aids / patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? : Yes, 1 : 13- Are there tele / monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? : Tele boxes. Tele techs will read and interpret.- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling?
