Department Overview
The Anesthesia Department provides all types of anesthesia services to children on an inpatient and / or outpatient basis on the Minneapolis, St. Paul and West Campuses. Additional services include : Respiratory and airway management and professional consultation for patients requiring unusual pain management techniques or analgesic nerve blocks. In order to minimize patient anxiety and fear, parental involvement during the induction of anesthesia, whenever safely possible, is encouraged.
Position Summary
Children's Minnesota's Anesthesia Department is seeking Full-time (or .8 FTE) CRNAs to join our busy practice. Our independent pediatric hospital system provides a variety of anesthesia services to children on the Minneapolis and Minnetonka West Campuses in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. We offer a case mixture that includes cardiac, neuro, level 1 trauma and neonatal.
Children’s CRNA program provides coverage for up to 15 OR’s (9 main ORs, 3 cardiac ORs, and 3 ORs at Minnetonka) per day and over 19,000 surgical cases per year. The CRNA’s also provide 24 / 7 OR coverage to our Level 1 Pediatric Trauma program. In addition to the OR, our CRNA staff plays an integral role in ancillary services as needed throughout the hospital. CRNA’s are the first responders for all code blue and Level 1 traumas for airway management.
