Schedule Details :

  • Self-Scheduled Shifts
  • 3rd Shift (7 PM - 7 : 30 AM)
  • FTE : 0.9 (12-hour shifts)
  • 2 Mondays & 2 Fridays every 6-week schedule
  • 1 Weekend every 6-week schedule
  • 2 Holidays (1 in Summer & 1 in Winter)
  • RNs will receive training in ACLS, NIH, IV Ultrasound, and will be cross-trained as Charge RNs.

    If you're seeking a dynamic nightshift role that offers variety, challenge, and growth, this opportunity is for you! As part of our Internal Float Pool, you'll rotate among our ED Boarding, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and ICU support units at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center. Each shift provides new experiences and opportunities to expand your clinical skills.

    What You'll Do :

  • Float between Med / Surg, Telemetry, ED Boarding, and ICU support units.
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.
  • Quickly adapt to varying unit workflows while maintaining clinical excellence.
  • What We're Looking For :

  • Minimum 18 months of Med / Surg or Telemetry RN experience (2 years is preferred).
  • Flexibility to accommodate the following within a 6-week schedule :
  • 2 Fridays

  • 2 Mondays
  • 1 Weekend
  • Training & Skills :

  • RNs will receive training in :
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • NIHSS (Stroke Scale)
  • IV Ultrasound
  • Charge Nurse cross-training to enhance leadership skills across multiple units.

    Join our Internal Float Pool and make a difference every day. You will be responsible for delivering safe, therapeutic care in alignment with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice and skilled communication, you will create a safe environment for patients.

    You will assess patients' needs, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan. Involve patients and their families throughout the process, maintaining a therapeutic relationship.

    Recognize significant changes in patient conditions and collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure patient-centric care. Implement strategies to enhance patient safety and assess the readiness of patients and families to learn, tailoring your approach as needed.

    Participate in coordinated discharge planning and apply evidence-based practices consistently. Evaluate patient outcomes and take actions as necessary. Engage in professional development opportunities and attend required educational programs to enhance your competencies.

    Licenses & Certifications :

    Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.

    Degrees :

    Completion of an accredited Nursing program.

    Required Experience :

    Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
