Manufacturing Project Manager

We are seeking a Manufacturing Project Manager to join our team, overseeing the successful execution of projects that are assigned by the organization. This includes directing the activities of team members, managing resources, and ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
In this role, you will lead and manage a project through completion, overseeing successful output. This involves defining scope and objectives, managing the project budget and resources, assembling and leading the project team, and communicating with stakeholders. You will monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and ensure the final deliverables while acting as a liaison between the project team, immediate stakeholders, and management.
Responsibilities
Develop project plans and ensure that all tasks are completed on time and within budget
Create and manage project schedules, resources, and budgets
Monitor project progress and identify areas of risk or opportunity
Manage stakeholders and provide periodic updates
Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts
Ensure that project deliverables are met
Implement and monitor quality assurance processes
Maintain project documents, records, and files
Develop and coach project teams, including providing feedback and guidance
Required Skills / Experience
Development of project plans, including scope, timelines, and objectives with defined deliverables and set performance metrics
Experience working with cross functional teams such as Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Warehousing organizations
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including production lifecycles, shop floor operations, supply chain management, and inventory control
Create and execute work plans, assign tasks to team members and monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed
A strong understanding of managing project costs and financial resources is essential
Proficient computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of MS Project program / project management software
The ability to strategically align projects with broader organizational goals
Desired Skills / Experience
Experience with production facility expansion
Manufacturing-specific knowledge of concepts like continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and Quality Control is highly valued
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree, or industry / military equivalent progressive experience
5 or more years of experience in project or program management
