Job Description
As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for repairing basic industrial pumps used to blend and transfer hazardous chemicals. This role includes performing electrical and mechanical maintenance on mobile equipment such as bobcats and skid steers. Operating equipment like Bobcat, dump truck, plow, and welding tools will be part of your duties. Additionally, you will manage general facility maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, sweeping floors, and cutting grass. You will act as the first responder to spills within the facility and perform various other maintenance-related tasks such as cutting and threading pipes, and replacing dead batteries in forklifts.
Responsibilities
- Repair basic industrial pumps for chemical blending and transfer.
- Conduct electrical and mechanical maintenance on mobile equipment including bobcats and skid steers.
- Operate Bobcat, dump truck, plow, and welding equipment as needed.
- Handle general facility maintenance tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, and groundskeeping.
- Act as first responder to spills within the facility.
- Perform maintenance-related tasks like pipe cutting and forklift battery replacement.

Work Environment
You will be working in a full-service chemical storage, handling, and distribution logistics company that deals with hazardous chemicals. We are one of the largest providers of hydrogen peroxide in the United States. The environment is heavy-duty and industrial; candidates must be comfortable working near hazardous chemicals. The company is non-union with approximately 100 employees. Candidates should be prepared to work both indoors and outdoors, as up to 50% of the workday may be spent outside.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
