Responsibilities

Employee will provide support to the NGA Integration Test and Image Quality Office (TAC) which is the primary integration testing and quality assurance organization. Employee will assist with providing independent verification and validation of software and hardware, and information system releases prior to operations.

• Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts.
• Working under only general direction, provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.
• Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
• Sources, selects, and qualifies components used in the company's technology.
• Investigates alternate component technologies or supplies, reducing cost and improving quality and reliability.
• Acts as technical interface between component / production suppliers and development engineers, determining new and alternate sources.
• Investigates alternate component technologies or supplies for reduced cost or improved quality and reliability, and implements changes.
• Develops guidelines / procedures on vendor selection. Evaluates supplier change notification and qualifies changes, as needed.
• May maintain component data management system including qualification records / results / documentation.
