POSITION SUMMARY
The Truck Driver – CDL operates assigned truck for delivery of finished product and picking up of raw materials or defective product, unloads and loads trucks, stores product and raw materials, maintains all log books.
Starting pay rate: $25-27 per hour depending on experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operates assigned equipment safely in accordance with company, Department of Transportation, and OSHA safety programs and rules.
• Performs work in accordance to approved procedures and work instructions.
• Reports quality and production concerns and issues to supervisor.
• Cross trains on all work stations within department.
• Conducts operator level preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule.
• Keeps work environment neat and clean.
• Assists to load and unload trailers, and with storage and placement of materials.
• Verifies finished product prior to shipment.
• Prepares shipments according to approved methods.
• Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• 2+ years of previous truck driving experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Routine travel locally
• Has doubles/ triples endorsement.
• Must maintain a current lift truck certification issued by the company.
• Basic analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning).
• Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients.
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and management.
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting.
• Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a large variety of hand tools and basic knowledge of power tools and forklifts.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary.
• Must have current driver’s license

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• The noise level in the work environment may be high.
