Strong proficiency in legal research and writing. Demonstrated experience taking and defending depositions. Familiarity with insurance carrier billing guidelines and reporting requirements. Detail-oriented articulate collaborative and able to thrive in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment. Litigation Attorney
Career Consulting Partners has partnered with a top AV-rated full-service law firm. The firm has been fortunate to represent many clients who are members of the Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 lists of multinational corporations. We are currently seeking a Litigation Attorney with 4 to 7 years of Insurance Defense experience.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter capable of managing a full caseload from inception through trial preparation with minimal supervision. This is an opportunity to work on high-exposure cases involving product liability professional liability premises liability and commercial disputes. Experience in construction defects is preferred but not required.
IDEAL CANDIDATE :
- Independently manage a diverse caseload of litigation files ensuring compliance with all court deadlines and client litigation guidelines.
- Draft and respond to complex discovery; conduct and defend depositions of parties witnesses and experts (including medical and technical experts).
- Research draft and argue law and motion matters including dispositive motions (MSJs) in California State and Federal Courts.
- Prepare timely and detailed status reports for insurance carriers and corporate clients analyzing liability damages and litigation strategy.
- Participate in mediations settlement conferences and informal settlement negotiations.
- Prepare cases for trial including motions in limine jury instructions and witness preparation.
