Key responsibilities include : / ppCollaboration : Collaborate with the team lead to define software and / or database requirements. / ppTechnical Specifications : Develop technical specifications for new and existing systems. / ppRelational Databases : Design, develop, and optimize relational databases, with a focus on PostgreSQL. / ppObject Relational Mapping : Implement, optimize, and maintain Sequelize ORM for database interactions in JavaScript applications. / ppAPI Architectural Design : Build RESTful APIs and backend services using JavaScript (Node.js, Express) and Python. / ppGraphical User Interface Creation : Develop and maintain Python-based UIs for data visualization and system interaction. / ppFile System Management : Integrate and manage file system data within a database for statistical analysis. / ppOn-site Meeting Support : Support on-site meetings and deliveries to customers. / ppDatabase Performance Optimizations : Stay up-to-date with industry best practices in database performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization. / ppData Modeling Management : Contribute to data modeling and management best practices within the product lifecycle. / ppSoftware Validation : Conduct unit, system, and integration testing for software validation. / ppWork Environment : / ppLocation : Customer site / ppTravel Requirements : Minimal 0-20% / ppWorking Hours : Standard / ppQualifications : / ppRequired : / ppSecurity Clearance : Active TS clearance with SCI Eligibility, and consent to future polygraph testing. / ppEducation : Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. / ppSoftware Development Experience : 5+ years of software development experience with C / C++, Python, JavaScript (Node.js, Express, Sequelize). / ppDatabase Optimization Expertise : Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and relational database performance optimization. / ppSQL Database Development : Experience designing, maintaining, and querying SQL databases. / ppSystems Communications : Experience developing RESTful APIs with JSON-based communication. / ppOperating System Proficiency : Unix / Linux software development. / ppFile System Data Integration Experience : Experience working with file system data integration for statistical analysis. / ppCommunication Skills : Strong communication and problem-solving skills. / ppFlexible Workstyle : Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet customer and company goals. / ppDesired : / ppSecurity Clearance : Active TS / SCI clearance and a polygraph / ppAlgorithm Experience : Experience with mathematical algorithm development and performance optimization. / ppPython Framework Expertise : Expertise in Python UI frameworks like Qt / QWT. / ppSequelize ORM Experience : Experience working with Sequelize ORM in large-scale applications. / ppTask Automation Proficiency : Proficiency in Unix shell scripting. / ppMachine Learning Knowledge : Knowledge of machine learning or statistical computing frameworks. / ppReady to Make a Difference? / ppIf youre excited about making a significant impact in the field of space defense and working on projects that matter, we encourage you to apply and join our team at KBR.
