Mechanical Engineer I

JOB SUMMARY

Carries out engineering assignments concerned with the planning and design of mechanically functioning equipment and processes. Performs drawing reviews from Drafters / Designers. Supports Engineers for simple to medium level complexity projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs mechanical equipment systems and processes.
• Performs calculations and analyses to ensure suitability of design.
• Solves problems related to the assembly repair and test of environmental control systems.
• Under general supervision performs assignments which involve responsibility for a secondary project or a part of a major project.
• May give direction to Drafters / Designers.
• Works with colleagues in the department and in other departments.
• Writes reports as required.
• Presents designs to peers other engineers and customers.
• Works under constant supervision.
• Performs assignments of mild complexity and assists other Engineers.
