    • Job Summary

    Well Rooted Pediatrics is looking for friendly, dependable, hard-working Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients. You will greet customers as they arrive, book appointments, answer phone calls, and collect payment information. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task, work well under pressure, and have outstanding customer service skills. A positive attitude is a must!!

    Responsibilities

  • Greet customers as they arrive and provide an excellent customer experience
  • Maintain computerized scheduling and follow office scheduling policies
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
  • Answer and screen telephone calls, take messages, and provide appropriate information to phone callers
  • Assist clients with paperwork, including consent forms
  • Filing and retrieving patient medical records.
  • Assist with verification of patient insurance benefits and eligibility prior to the appointment
  • Confirm appointment and send appointment reminders
  • Faxing and filing
  • Maintain a clean and presentable front office and reception area.
  • Maintain accurate patient information by updating patient demographics and insurance information in the electronic health records system.
  • Taking payments and posting payments.

    • Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (GED)
  • Certified Medical Assistant, plus
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • At least 1 year of medical office / clerical experience
  • Proficiency with computers, typing and basic software use.
  • Positive attitude and ability to use good judgment and seek appropriate resources in difficult or stressful situations
  • Professional behavior and appearance
  • Pays attention to detail and is quality focused
  • Two or more years of experience as a receptionist or similar role is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills with a commitment to customer service
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
