Overview :

We are representing a highly regarded architectural practice seeking an experienced Principal Architect to lead its Orlando office. This is a full-time, in-office role (5 days a week) offering the opportunity to shape and grow a studio with a strong focus on commercial, retail, and mixed-use development projects.

What you will be doing :

Provide strategic vision, leadership, and inspiration for the Orlando office.

Drive client development and engagement, targeting new projects in commercial, retail, and mixed-use sectors.

Establish and grow the studio, with goals to double developer retail sector revenue within two years and secure three large-scale projects during that time.

Lead, mentor, and expand the architectural team while ensuring quality assurance and financial performance.

Oversee project pursuits, pipeline, risk management, and studio profitability.

Partner with business development and technical leaders to pursue and win new work.

Ensure adherence to corporate standards, contracts, budgets, and quality control processes.

What you must have :

Bachelor of Architecture required; Master’s in Architecture or Business preferred.

Registered Architect (RA) required (does not have to be Florida).

Minimum 15 years of progressive architectural experience, including at least 10 years functioning as a lead on complex projects.

Proven success in business development, client relationships, and winning project pursuits.

Strong background in commercial, retail, and mixed-use development projects (preferred).

Excellent leadership, communication, and mentoring skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage studio performance, growth, and profitability.
