Who we are

HII is seeking a highly skilled Chief Test Engineer to lead testing and validation efforts for nuclear systems. Stirling, Western Australia or Canberra, ACT. This role involves overseeing test planning, execution, and analysis to ensure system integrity, compliance, and performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in nuclear engineering and testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for nuclear systems and components.

• Oversee validation and verification processes to ensure regulatory compliance.

• Manage a team of engineers and technicians in executing complex test protocols.

• Collaborate with design, safety, and operations teams to optimize testing procedures.

• Analyze test results, identify potential issues, and recommend corrective actions.

• Maintain documentation and reports for regulatory bodies and stakeholders.

• Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and best practices.

What you need to have:

• 15 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 13 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience.

• 12+ years of experience in nuclear systems testing.

• 5+ years in a leadership role.

• Strong expertise in nuclear safety, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.

• Proficiency in test automation, data analysis, and diagnostic tools.

• Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
