Nuclear Mechanical Design Engineer

A company is looking for a Nuclear Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design development of reactor core components and structures.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate design solutions using inputs from Engineering and Project teams

Develop testing documentation and perform scoping analysis for design options

Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers and subcontractors

Required Qualifications

B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (preferred)

Minimum of 5 years of equipment / component design experience

Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably SolidWorks

Experience with finite element stress analysis and mechanical analysis methods; ANSYS preferred

Familiarity with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
