Job Description

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY

General labor manufacturing position ensures parts are heat treated through an induction heat treat process.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Set up machinery for operation
• Start machinery and make adjustments to machinery when necessary to improve performance
• Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions
• Perform quality control, follow reporting and recordkeeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor
• Comply with all safety and health regulations
• Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area
• Check specs and load / unload parts on heat treat production lines
• Complete forms recording production results
• Visually verify parts; keep untreated parts separate and identified
• Monitor process, and adjusting times and temperatures according to the instructions
• Perform daily preventative maintenance, remove and replenish fluids / lubricants
• Comply with ISO 16949 & 14001 requirements, safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas - perform 5S cleaning responsibilities
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is performed in a manufacturing setting standing and walking on concrete floors throughout an 8 to 12 hour shift with frequent handling of metal parts weighing 1-5 pounds, visual inspection, occasional bending or reaching, use of hand tools, use of up to 50 lbs. of force to move heavy loads on wheels.
