Insurance Specialist (Full Time)

Location: Tallahassee, FL (in-office)

Schedule: Monday - Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm; Friday 9:00am – 4:00pm

Compensation: $48,000 - $52,000 annual salary plus benefits package (see below for details)

Summary of Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent
• 3+ years of professional administrative experience OR Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 1+ years of professional experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products
• Ability to commute to our Tallahassee office Monday - Friday

About this position: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our team. This role will assist our Policy Services and Audit departments and perform a variety of customer service and administrative tasks, such as engaging with agents and policyholders on a daily basis, processing policy changes and maintaining information within the departments, and processing year-end audits. We are open to training the right person, but there are a few non-negotiable skills we are looking for.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

• Provides excellent customer service and likes to interact with clients and agents over the phone and via email.
• Takes initiative with unfamiliar tasks and isn't afraid to come forward with questions.
• Understands how to prioritize time-sensitive tasks.
• Enjoys working in a professional office setting.
• Exhibits strong communication and organizational skills.
• Is self-motivated and also appreciates inter-departmental collaboration.
• Is looking for a long term position at a company they can grow alongside

Essential Tasks of the Insurance Specialist:

• Serve as a resource for agents and policyholders through regular communication, both over the phone and via email. Respond to information requests in a timely manner.
• Process policy changes as requested.
• Perform regular outreach to obtain required items: premium payments, forms, additional information needed for proper policy maintenance.
• Provide technical support to agents and insureds needing assisting navigating online portals.
• Review, accurately process, and explain year-end audits.
• Assist with agent and insured outreach to obtain audit documents if an insured does not comply with an audit request.
• Provide support for daily policy services and audit functions.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Has 3+ years' experience beyond school OR holds a relevant bachelor’s degree
• Has 1+ years' professional experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products (particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Is computer-savvy and capable of picking up new programs quickly
• Has a good numbers sense and can complete basic calculations independently
• Enjoys both collaborating with others and working autonomously depending on the day’s needs
• Can commute to our Tallahassee-based office
• Can work 9:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Thursday, and 9:00am – 4:00pm on Fridays
