We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine to provide important medical assessments for our nation's Veterans. This is a flexible, PRN opportunity offering competitive compensation, allowing you to contribute your expertise while maintaining your professional independence. Your work will directly support Veterans’ health evaluations, ensuring they receive the care and recognition they deserve while fitting seamlessly into your schedule.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New Mexico
• Experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or orthopedic surgery
• Strong interview skills with the ability to perform physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing
• Excellent patient communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently in a designated office location within a 50-mile radius

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous experience with compensation and pension exams or veterans’ health assessments
• Familiarity with government or military healthcare systems
• Certification in additional medical specialties related to internal or family medicine

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice in general medicine or related fields
• Prior experience conducting compensation & pension exams is advantageous but not mandatory

Other Requirements:

• Own your own office location within the specified NM regions (Silver City, Deming, Hobbs, Grants)
• Willingness to work ½ days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours), as needed
• Reliable internet and computer setup for administrative tasks and report submission
• Background check and credentialing process completed expeditiously
• Must follow all applicable state, federal, and local laws regarding licensure, certification, and documentation
