• Citizenship Requirements : Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Clearance Requirements : National Background Check with Inquiries and Fingerprints, and Drug Screen.
• Period of Performance : Estimated : 01 January 2026- 31 December 2030
• Type of Employment : Part-time, not to exceed 32 hours per Month.
• Estimated Pay : $78.00 to $80.00 per hour
• Employment Type : Independent Contractor (1099).

Working Hours

The Optometrist will work no more than 32 hours per month. The working days and hours will be coordinated with the Health Services Department.

Qualifications

Summary of Duties : The Optometrist will perform eye examinations and refractions, provide eye prescriptions, fit and adjust eyeglasses, or, in some instances, contact lenses. In an emergency, the contractor may be required to provide eyeglasses and / or the repair of eyeglasses.

Attire

The Optometrist is expected to wear professional clothing while on duty.
