The Opportunity

Join Adobe as a Senior Staff Engineer and play a critical role in building and evolving the engineering platforms that power Adobe products such as Adobe Express. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, site reliability engineering, and platform leadership, with a focus on enabling safe, scalable, and efficient software delivery at enterprise scale.

You will work on foundational systems that support multi-tenant, multi-region cloud services used by millions of customers worldwide. As a senior technical leader, youll partner closely with product engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to set a higher standard on reliability, automation, and developer productivity while helping shape the future of how Adobe builds and delivers software.

What Youll Do

• Design, build, and evolve highly reliable software systems and platforms that support large-scale, distributed services.
• Lead the development of GitOps-based workflows and deployment automation.
• Configure and operate services on Kubernetes-based platforms using standardized deployment and configuration patterns.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform to provision and manage cloud resources on AWS.
• Apply AI / ML techniques and tools to enhance the software delivery lifecycle, improve engineering productivity, and streamline operational workflows.
• Apply SRE principles to the design and operation of software systems, emphasizing reliability, scalability, risk management, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with application and platform teams to standardize patterns for service configuration, rollout strategies, and environment management.
• Identify and reduce systemic sources of risk, toil, and inefficiency through thoughtful engineering and automation.
• Contribute technical leadership through design and code reviews and mentoring, helping raise engineering quality across the organization.

What You Need to Succeed

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $173,500 $331,050 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

In California, the pay range for this position is $228,600 $331,050. In Washington, the pay range for this position is $218,200 $316,000.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of a sales commission plan. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
