Responsibilities About Northwest Physicians Group
Northwest Physicians Group formed in 3 with a focus towards population health management. The group has grown to a network of over providers serving patients at numerous primary, specialty and urgent care locations in Amarillo, Texas. Northwest Physicians Group is affiliated with Northwest Texas Healthcare System, a -bed system acute care hospital that serves approximately , residents of the Texas Panhandle and surrounding region. The system provides acute care services including: cardiac, pediatric, women's, emergency, surgical and behavioral healthcare.
Position: Nurse Practitioner - Northwest Urgent Care
- Oversees the quality of care delivered to his/her patients
- Collaborates with other health care professionals in the delivery of health care services.
- Makes independent decisions about nursing needs and interdependent decisions with physicians regarding health regimens
- Assumes dependent responsibilities in carrying out delegated medical acts
- Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all groups
Independence Physician Management (IPM), a subsidiary of UHS, was formed in 2 as the physician services unit of UHS. IPM develops and manages multi-specialty physician networks and urgent care clinics which align with UHS acute care facilities. It also provides select services for the Behavioral Health division of UHS. Through continuing growth, IPM operates in markets across six states and the District of Columbia. About Universal Health Services (UHS), Inc.
Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements (if applicable):
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas and maintain throughout employment
- Current Adult Nurse Practitioner licensed to practice in the State of Texas and maintain throughout employment
- Minimum of months of current nursing practice in specific specialty area in which the nurse will practice advanced nursing
- Knowledge of Medical Staff Bylaws, Rule and Regulations
- BLS from the American Heart Association upon hire and maintain throughout employmen
