Job Description

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A healthcare professional with LPN / LVN certification is needed to provide one-on-one care for a student with Down Syndrome in a school setting. This contract position is located in the Elgin / St. Charles, IL area and involves specialized medical support during the school day.

Key Responsibilities :

Administer approximately eight gastrostomy (G-tube) feedings daily
Monitor blood glucose levels using the Blue Loop system
Provide diabetic care including insulin administration and carbohydrate counting
Ensure the students safety and fort while performing medical tasks
Collaborate with school staff and family to support the students health needs

Qualifications :

Current LPN or LVN license in Illinois

Experience in pediatric care, particularly with students requiring G-tube feeding

Proficient in diabetes management, including blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration

Ability to maintain accurate health records and municate with educators and families
