A long-standing precision machining company with over 100 years of experience, located in Elkhart, Indiana is adding a Screw Machinist to their team. This team specializes in producing high-quality components for industries such as agriculture, heavy equipment, fluid power, and electrical systems. Our capabilities include multi-spindle screw machines, CNC turning, grinding, and vertical machining centers.

Screw Machinist Position Overview

They are seeking experienced and motivated individuals to set up and operate single and multi-spindle screw machines. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing quality parts efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain multi-spindle screw machines using established procedures and layouts
• Perform tooling adjustments, tool changes, and minor machine repairs
• Read and interpret blueprints and use precision measuring instruments and gauges
• Submit first-piece samples to the quality department and perform in-process inspections
• Maintain clean and safe work areas in accordance with company standards
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance productivity and quality
• Follow all safety and quality policies within our ISO 9001 : 2015 certified system
• Experience with Acme screw machines required
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
