Sample Handling & Preparation : Process and prepare various samples. including blood, urine, and tissue, following established protocols. Testing & Analysis : Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology; analyze results under the supervision of the laboratory supervisor and report findings accurately. Quality Control & Compliance : Ensure laboratory operations comply with safety, quality control, and regulatory requirements; participate in quality assurance and proficiency testing programs.Data Recording & Documentation :
Maintain accurate, timely records of laboratory tests, equipment maintenance, and quality control measures. Equipment Maintenance : Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting on lab instruments and equipment; report any malfunctions to the lab supervisor.Inventory Management :
Assist in ordering and stocking supplies to ensure laboratory needs are consistently met.Team Collaboration :
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment. Qualifications : Education : Associate's degree or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field; Bachelor's degree is preferred.Certification :
Certified as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification (preferred).Experience :
Minimum 1-2 years in a clinical laboratory setting, preferably family medicine or outpatient care environment.Skills & Competencies :
Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and best practices.Proficiency in laboratory equipment, computer systems, and software.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to patient care, confidentiality, and ethical standards.Pay Range :
$32.50 / hr to $45 / hr Working Conditions : Schedule : Full-time position, Monday through Friday, occasional Saturdays or evenings may be required based off clinic needs.Environment :
Medical laboratory settings; requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift laboratory supplies, and work with potentially infectious materials while following safety protocols.
