As a community Mental Health Worker, you will be collaborating with licensed professionals and providing direct services to persons with major mental illnesses. Our clients live in the community and receive services through our creative outpatient center. This is an exciting position which places each worker in a position to provide meaningful services on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct care, support, and assistance to clients who may be experiencing mental health or substance abuse issues
Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions and educate clients on coping techniques
Help clients develop and achieve goals related to their mental and emotional well-being
Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in emergency situations
Document client progress, maintain records, and submit reports
Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, and nurses.

Requirements:

Bachelor's in Psychology, or a related field
Prior experience working in a mental health or substance abuse setting
Understanding of mental health conditions and treatment options
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
