Corporate Tax Senior Associate
As the Corporate Tax Senior Associate of our Tax Credits and Accounting Methods practice, you'll be responsible for implementing, and executing R&D tax credit, accounting method, and fixed asset studies for your clients all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. You'll collaborate with Tax Credits and Methods leadership and use specialized tax resources. From day one, you'll be empowered by leading, developing and mentoring assigned engagement teams, as well as potentially participating in related marketing and sales aspects of the engagements to ensure all client projects are conducted in accordance with firm standards, completed on time, and within budget, and help you achieve more, confidently.
Your day-to-day may include :
- Assist in conducting client engagement fieldwork such as visiting the client location, investigating the relevant facts identified, analyzing all applicable accounting information, completing the appropriate tax computations and preparation of written memorandums that summarize the engagement team findings
- Participate in numerous client projects and tasks simultaneously
- Participate in professional development and training sessions on a regular basis
- Other duties as assigned
You have the following technical skills and qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in a related fieldMaster's or Ph.D. in Accounting or Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Financial Engineering, Management Science and Engineering, Financial Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or Operations Research preferredCPA or a legal background (J.D., LLM) is preferredTwo years of relevant work experience in a Tax environment. Experience in a Big 4 firm, a comparable size public accounting firm or consulting firm is preferredAn intermediate understanding of tax return mechanics is requiredStrong written and verbal communication skills requiredCandidate must demonstrate ability to manage time, manage multiple projects, and meet client deadlinesCandidate must have solid abilities to analyze and summarize data with accuracyCandidate must demonstrate experience working as a productive member of a teamAbility to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites as required is expectedThe base salary range for this position in the firm's Iselin, NJ, New York, NY, Melville, NY, and Boston, MA office is between $86,400 to $129,600.
