Graduate of a program in Radiologic Technology

Description :

We are looking to fill an immediate need for a dual modality CT / X-ray technologist to cover a 37.5-hour weekly schedule.

Maintain and exhibit behavior that promotes patient confidence and trust.

Capable of working independently and unsupervised.

Demonstrate proficiency in the performance of Cat Scan Imaging Exams.

Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of pediatric immobilization devices while adhering to safety precautions.

Produce computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered according to established policies and procedures.

Prepare or enter written documentation as required by the department, including informed patient consent and patient chart documentation.

Observe sterile and aseptic techniques when necessary.

Check equipment, supplies, and accessories on a regular basis.

Assess the physical needs of adult and geriatric patients.

Demonstrate the ability to recognize and alleviate patients' fears and apprehensions about exams.

Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work areas.

Complete requested examinations in a timely manner while observing radiation safety standards.

Address the special needs of each age group served and assist in making reasonable accommodations for patients with disabilities.

Observe Bio-Safety and Clienttion safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities and duties may change at any time at the discretion of the leadership.

Perform related duties in PACS.

Know and adhere to established policies and procedures, including all aspects of safety.

Complete requested examinations in a timely manner while observing radiation safety standards.

Be computer literate.

Select and operate equipment as directed.

Be aware and able to prevent Sentinel Events.
