About the role :

Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about navigating complex processes? As a Sales Tax Account Manager at Squire, you'll play a vital role in helping businesses meet their sales and use tax obligations while providing outstanding client service. This position offers the opportunity to develop expertise in a niche area of public accounting and make a tangible impact on our clients' success.

Responsibilities :

We are seeking a meticulous and motivated individual to join our team as a Sales Tax Account Manager. In this role you will be responsible for assisting clients in managing and ensuring monthly sales tax compliance. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a desire to learn and grow within the field of sales tax compliance account management. Responsibilities include managing sales tax filings, registrations, and various sales tax client support services.

  • Aid in the preparation of and filing of monthly sales tax returns accurately and timely.
  • Learn and apply standard processes for managing registrations, filings, and tax notices.
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding sales tax matters promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate record keeping and reporting.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, clients, and third-party software partners.
  • Familiarity with sales tax nexus rules for different industries (primarily direct selling and ecommerce).

Qualifications :

  • Preferred Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; sales tax experience is valuable for unrelated degrees.
  • Preferred 3-5 years experience in Sales Tax.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numerical data.
  • Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow processes and directions effectively.
  • Works independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in managing multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
  • Consistently meets deadlines with high-quality, accurate work.
  • Effectively prioritizes and addresses critical matters promptly.
  • Thrives under pressure, maintaining composure and focus in high-stress situations.
  • Strong time management skills to meet frequent deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
  • Related experience is a plus, training is provided.

    • Job Status : Full Time Hourly

    Work Location : Salt Lake City, UT, Orem, UT

    Work Arrangements : In-Person, Hybrid
