Software Developer

Rock West Composites, Inc. has an exciting leadership opportunity for a   Software Developer.  To ensure compliance with ITAR requirements, eligible candidates must be a United States Citizen, United States National, or a person lawfully admitted for permanent residence.

Rock West Composites, Inc. is an engineering and manufacturing company dedicated to providing innovative solutions for commercial and government customers. We provide cradle-to-grave services for primary and secondary composite structures.  This is an onsite position based out of our San Diego, CA HQ office.

Position Summary :

The Software Developer will design and deliver end-to-end solutions that drive efficiency and innovation across Rock West Composites’ business operations. This role involves transforming complex business challenges into scalable software applications ranging from financial forecasting and production scheduling to supply chain and quality systems, while leveraging Microsoft technologies, NetSuite, and emerging AI tools. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem-solver who thrives on owning projects from concept through deployment and ensuring secure, high-quality, and maintainable solutions.

Essential Functions :

• Identify, scope, and solve complex business problems by building software solutions from scratch

Opportunities for improvement will cover all business areas of Rock West Composites, including, but not limited to, financial forecasting, budget variance reporting, resource planning, production scheduling, KPI tracking, quality management systems (ISO9001 / AS9100), supply chain management and stock transactional / summary reporting

Compensation :

The pay range for this position falls within $110,000-$150,000 annually. The final compensation will be determined based on experience, skillset, and other factors permitted by law.
