Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Perimeter Patrol in Renton, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero / Defense, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents while upholding a visible presence. This armed and driving post requires you to respond promptly to situations, interact professionally with personnel, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including business areas and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and / or potential threats, reporting observations according to site protocols.
  • Interact with employees, visitors, and contractors in a courteous manner, providing assistance as needed while maintaining security-related protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and site contacts.
  • Follow all procedures for access control, including verifying identification and authorizations as required at the location.
  • Respond promptly to alarms and / or requests for assistance, taking appropriate action based on site-specific guidelines.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • A valid armed guard card or license is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
