Data Science Intern

Qorvo's Internship Program is designed for college students currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program. Qorvo offers real work experience, exposure to upper management, and the opportunity to pursue full-time opportunities, as available.

Qorvo's Data Science Internships are offered in our Information Technology business group. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Responsibilities May Include :

  • Develop and test databases and big data processing systems using SQL and Python within an Apache Spark and Databricks environment, supporting advanced analytics and AI applications.
  • Build, integrate, and manage agentic AI systems, including the use of vector databases, agent graph frameworks, and custom AI tools for dynamic, context-aware solutions.
  • Distill and automate business processes by designing AI-driven workflows that optimize decision-making, process automation, and knowledge management.
  • Unify and curate data from disparate sources, assessing and improving data quality and usability for advanced diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive modeling.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, AI / BI users, application developers, and data scientists to define and refine requirements for AI-driven data and analytics solutions.
  • Implement and maintain automated data and AI pipelines, supporting both traditional data movement / transformations and the orchestration of agentic AI components.
  • Assist in feature engineering, model deployment, and the integration of AI within business applications to enhance operational efficiency and insight generation.
  • Stay current with emerging AI frameworks, agentic architectures, and best practices, applying them to real-world business challenges.

    • Qualifications :

  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related major
  • Experience with Apache Spark, Python and SQL programming
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing, supply chain, and business process is preferred
  • GPA 3.0 or higher
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment

    • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience : $31.00 / hr - $42.00 / hr (subject to change dependent on physical location). Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience / qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability. Base compensation is one element of Total Rewards offered at Qorvo. More information on the Total Rewards package can be shared upon request.
