Responsibilities

Collaborate with Trading, IT Infrastructure, and Development teams to configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure.

Provide day‑to‑day support of network and application environments, including port configuration and cabling.

Offer evening, weekend, and on‑call support and travel to data centers as required.

Work closely with infrastructure engineers to evaluate current and new technology and improve all aspects of our infrastructure.

Analyze business requirements and design, implement, and manage an effective (WAN / LAN) network that supports our domestic and global trading platform.

Partner with network providers to ensure that the trading infrastructure remains stable, competitive, and cost‑effective.

Document and focus on automation of all day‑to‑day operations.

Qualifications

1–2 years of network engineering experience in a professional environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Understanding of TCP / IP and the OSI stack.

Knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and experience with Juniper, Arista, or Cisco.

Experience with switching, firewalls, STP, VLANs, VPNs, trunks, ACLs, multicast routing (IGMP, PIM).

Familiarity with multiple vendors and performing network traffic analysis using tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).

Basic understanding of Linux / Unix and scripting experience (Python).

Desire to obtain CCNA or CCNP.

Benefits & Compensation

In accordance with the Illinois Equal Pay Act, the minimum base salary starts at $90,000. Exact compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and skill set. This role also eligible for a discretionary performance bonus as part of the total compensation package and other benefits as listed here :
