This role ensures that work is executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and schedules. The Civil Superintendent serves as the primary leader in the field, coordinating crews, subcontractors, and resources to deliver high-quality results while fostering a culture of safety and teamwork./ph3District Overview/h3pKiewits South Central District is one of Kiewits leading infrastructure districts specializing in highway and heavy civil construction including grading, excavating, trenching, bridge construction, concrete, asphalt paving, and more. This means your Kiewit adventure is custom-designed to meet our shared needs./ph3Responsibilities/h3pstrongDirect and oversee daily field activities, including scheduling, workforce allocation, and equipment management./strong/ppstrongEnforce Kiewits Zero Harm safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety regulations./strong/ppstrongCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to achieve project objectives./strong/ppstrongMonitor progress, quality, and productivity; implement corrective actions when necessary./strong/ppstrongManage material deliveries and maintain inventory to prevent delays./strong/ppstrongPrepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports and timecards./strong/ppstrongMentor and develop field staff to build a strong, capable team./strong/ph3Qualifications/h3pstrongEducation: High school diploma required; bachelors degree in construction management or related field preferred./strong/ppstrongExperience: Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role./strong/ppstrongStrong knowledge of grading, excavation, paving, and bridge construction./strong/ppstrongProven ability to lead crews and manage subcontractors effectively./strong/ppstrongExcellent communication and organizational skills./strong/ppstrongAbility to travel and relocate based on project needs./strong/ppOther Requirements:/ppstrongRegular, reliable attendance/strong/ppstrongWork productively and meet deadlines timely/strong/ppstrongCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment./strong/ppstrongPerform work safely and effectively.
