Job Title : Assembly Mechanic

Job Description

This role involves the start-to-finish assembly of large industrial process machinery used in the manufacturing of plywood. You will assemble, install, and connect all structural components, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes, bearings, wires, and cables. You will utilize blueprints, schematics, and various tools to ensure precise assembly. The position requires inspecting and testing the finished product to verify machines meet engineered specifications. The work schedule is day shift, 6am-2 : 30pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assemble large industrial process machinery from start to finish.
• Install and connect structural components, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes, bearings, wires, and cables.
• Use blueprints, schematics, and hand / air / power / torque / shop tools for assembly.
• Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet engineered specifications.

Work Environment

The position is located in an industrial fab shop environment where welding, fabrication, and machining of metal occur frequently. The environment can be loud and is not the cleanest due to metals manufacturing. Steel-toed boots are required for safety.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
