POSITION SUMMARY :

This position will plan, direct, or coordinate the Mission Logistics organizational unit. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, planning the use of materials and human resources, ensuring the department is focusing on strategic operations that enhance the department, division and organization overall.

Duties will also include but are not limited to :

• Develop long-term strategies to design efficient transportation routes and scheduling that align with organizational goals
• Supervise the maintenance, acquisition, and lifecycle management of the truck and trailer fleet to ensure reliability and optimal performance
• Oversee training and retention of drivers, ensuring adherence to performance standards and organizational values
• Ensure that all transportation operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry’s best practices
• Maintain a current and up-to-date understanding of and comply with all agency policies and procedures
