Credentialing Specialist Compensation
The pay for this position is $28-$33 per hour
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Credentialing Specialist Highlights
This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 8 : 00 AM–4 : 00 PM
Credentialing Specialist Responsibilities
Enforce regulatory compliance and quality assurance
Prepare and maintain reports of credentialing activities such as accreditation, membership, or facility privileges
Ensure all information meets legal, federal, and state guidelines when processing applications
Process applications for initial applicants and reappointments (125–200 quarterly)
Collect and process verification and accreditation information
Maintain and update accurate provider information in the Echo database (education, training, experience, licensure)
Prepare material for Credentials Committee, MEC, and Board of Trustees meetings
Maintain provider confidentiality and compliance with bylaws
Schedule, attend, and take minutes for medical staff department meetings as needed
Process and collect medical staff dues
Track license and certification expirations for providers
Maintain provider information in online credentialing databases
Perform all other related duties as assigned
Credentialing Specialist Requirements
MUST HAVE : Experience doing provider credentialing in a hospital setting!
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong research and data analysis ability
Ability to work independently and maintain effective working relationships
Excellent computer skills
High School Diploma or GED
Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Credentialing Specialist Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Echo credentialing database or similar systems
Previous credentialing or healthcare administrative experience
