Account Technician

An Account Technician assists and supports licensed staff members with the servicing, production, and renewal of customer insurance accounts. In addition to providing customer support via careful, detail-oriented maintenance of accounts, additional responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

1. Renewing customer policy information internally
2. Creating client mailings for insurance documents and notices
3. Retrieving client documentation from various company websites
4. Identifying premium increases and remarketing opportunities to reduce costs to clients
5. Assisting Account Managers with customer requested changes and processing of endorsement documentation and billing
6. Processing mail received for client accounts
7. Identifying policy cancellations for Account Manager follow up
8. General account cleanup and maintenance for client accounts

Requirements

• This entry-level position does not require experience or an insurance license, but a willingness to learn and potentially become licensed to assist in direct client-facing roles is expected
• Requires an ability to communicate orally and in writing with others to explain complex issues, receive and interpret complex information, and respond appropriately and professionally
• Must be incredibly detail focused and have excellent organization skills
• Must be a self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
• Must embrace a client-focused, team mentality
• Must be proficient in MS Office tools and able to learn insurance management systems
• Previous working knowledge of Applied Epic or similar insurance account management software is preferred
