Collins Aerospace is seeking a talented Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team of FPGA designers and verifiers responsible for the development of various FPGA devices used in a broad portfolio of Collins display and computing growing organization has the charter to develop safety critical devices in a cost competitive environment that enables Collins to maintain an industry leading position in Avionics for display and computing products used in both commercial and military platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of FPGA development practices military / commercial certification and experience leading execution teams.

What You Will Do :

• Technical direction : Candidate will lead a team and apply sound engineering principles related to Avionics FPGA development.
• Project management : Candidate will guide team members on the management of scope schedule and budget for engineering design activities to ensure success of team in meeting program milestones and budgets. The candidate may be involved in project management and execution including Earned Value and Risk Management.
• Process management : Candidate will guide team members on the utilization of design and development processes certification and ensure that the design and verification activities are consistent with the established processes.
• Bids and proposals : Candidate will lead review and provide guidance to team members on bid and proposal activities.
• Personnel administration : Candidate will make hiring decisions performance assessment decisions ensure management of personnel issues develop personnel to achieve their career coals and create a highly engaged and motivated team.
• Occasional travel may be needed.

The salary range for this role is 124000 USD - 250000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education / training and key skills.
